Union Minister Manohar Lal inaugurates 50 projects worth ₹1,117 Crore for Telangana

Telangana Becomes the First Telugu State with Year-Round Water Supply

New Delhi, January 24: Union Minister for Power, Housing, and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, inaugurated ₹1,117 crore worth of 50 projects for Telangana. With this, Telangana has become the first state to ensure year-round water supply. The Union Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation for 50 projects, enhancing smart mobility, water supply, sanitation, and urban infrastructure.

Thanks to Manohar Lal’s initiative, 53 schools in Telangana have been equipped with smart classrooms, while 27 schools now boast e-learning tools and enhanced sports facilities. Additionally, the state will manage one lakh metric tons of legacy waste through bio-mining.

During his Telangana visit, the Union Minister inaugurated projects worth ₹22 crore at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium.These include the development of a commercial complex, renovation of the indoor hall, installation of modern toilets, parking facilities, and landscaping. He also inaugurated a recreational park under the ₹12.35 crore Multi-Purpose School Park project, spanning 5.96 acres. Furthermore, ₹9.20 crore was allocated to renovate 27 schools and introduce smart classrooms in 53 schools under the social infrastructure development initiative.

365-Day Water Supply for Karimnagar Smart City:
In order to improve urban living, the Union Minister announced the launch of a 24×7 water supply under the Smart City Project in Karimnagar. As part of this initiative, an 18-crore water distribution system was inaugurated in the Housing Board Colony, ensuring round-the-clock drinking water supply to approximately 2,600 households in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation.

Manohar Lal Connects with Students:
During his visit, Manohar Lal inaugurated smart digital classrooms at Bandi Sanjay Kummervadi High School, a project worth ₹9.20 crore. In a heartwarming interaction, the Union Minister engaged with the students, listening to their aspirations and future goals.
