The meeting focused on establishing new areas of collaboration between the police department and the local industry, with a primary emphasis on improving safety and streamlining urban management in Faridabad.

During the meeting, Mr. Kapoor briefed Mr. Singh on the various initiatives being undertaken by CII Faridabad, which aims to foster a safe and progressive environment for industrial growth. He highlighted key issues such as worker safety in industrial areas and the growing problem of traffic congestion in Faridabad, both of which significantly impact the smooth functioning of the local industries and the day-to-day life of its residents.Safety of workers in industrial areas is a critical concern for industries in Faridabad, particularly given the density of industrial units. Mr. Kapoor emphasized the need for closer coordination between the police and the industry to ensure that safety protocols are rigorously followed, and that workers can perform their duties without the looming risk of accidents or other safety hazards.

He proposed that the police and CII collaborate on creating safety workshops, improving the enforcement of labor laws, and facilitating better emergency response mechanisms in industrial zones. These steps, according to Mr. Kapoor, would not only improve worker safety but also ensure that industries operate within a secure and conducive environment.

Another pressing issue discussed was the increasing traffic congestion in Faridabad, which has become a significant hurdle for both commuters and industries. The growing number of vehicles coupled with poorly maintained infrastructure has led to daily traffic snarls, affecting the punctuality of workers and the timely delivery of goods.

Mr. Kapoor suggested that a collaborative approach involving traffic management reforms, improved infrastructure, and public awareness campaigns could alleviate the situation. He also proposed the creation of special lanes for industrial vehicles during peak hours to reduce congestion around key industrial zones.

The Police Commissioner, Mr. Saurabh Singh, expressed his full support for these initiatives, acknowledging the critical role the police department plays in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of industries in the region. He assured Mr. Kapoor that the police would work closely with CII to implement these ideas and improve the overall environment in Faridabad.

Mr. Singh emphasized the importance of a joint effort between the government, law enforcement, and industry stakeholders in creating a safer, more efficient city. He also assured that his team would actively support initiatives aimed at reducing traffic congestion, improving law enforcement in industrial areas, and ensuring that industrial workers have a safe working environment.

A Vision for a Progressive Faridabad
The meeting concluded with Mr. Kapoor reiterating CII’s commitment to making Faridabad not just a hub for industrial growth, but also a model of safety, progress, and urban efficiency. He expressed optimism that with the active collaboration of the police department and the industry, Faridabad would become a safer, more progressive city for residents, workers, and businesses alike.

The Chairman of CII Faridabad emphasized that the industry looks forward to implementing impactful programs that not only enhance security but also drive the city towards a future of sustainable growth and development.
