Gorakhpur, July 6 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh highlighted the critical need for aligning technical education with contemporary demands, emphasizing advanced courses in fields like cyber security to enhance employability among youth.
During the inauguration ceremony of residential and non-residential buildings at Government Polytechnic, Hardi in Sahajanwa, CM Yogi underscored the importance of educating youth in cutting-edge technologies. The construction of these facilities, totaling Rs 21.02 crore, marks a significant investment in bolstering technical education infrastructure in the region.
Addressing the audience, CM Yogi expressed concern over youth falling victim to online frauds and stressed the urgency of introducing programs in cyber security to combat such challenges effectively.
“The development of modern technical skills among our youth is crucial to ensure they remain competitive in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape,” said Yogi Adityanath.
Highlighting the conducive industrial environment in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi credited stringent security measures for fostering a favorable atmosphere for industries. He also acknowledged the role of technical universities and educational institutions across the state in nurturing skilled professionals.
“In addition to promoting technical education through government and private institutions, the Vocational Education Department is introducing contemporary courses to equip youth with relevant skills,” added CM Yogi.
Speaking on local development initiatives, CM Yogi noted ongoing projects like the Gorakhpur Link Expressway and the establishment of new industries in the GIDA area of Sahajanwa, including PepsiCo’s upcoming plant.
CM Yogi assured that the newly inaugurated Government Polytechnic in Sahajanwa will soon commence educational activities, pending recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education. He emphasized the institute’s role in contributing to local employment opportunities and the overall development of Gorakhpur.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including MLA Pradeep Shukla, Shriram Chauhan, Rajesh Tripathi, former MLA GM Singh, BJP District President Yudhishthir Singh, District General Secretary RD Singh, and Principal Secretary of Technical Education M. Devraj.
The Chief Minister also inspected flood prevention measures, expressing satisfaction with the advanced construction of dams that have effectively mitigated flooding issues in Gorakhpur despite heavy rainfall.
