1 JULY 2024 : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the retest for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET 2024, conducted late on Sunday night. The re-examination was organized for 1,563 students who were earlier awarded grace marks due to disruptions during their initial exam on May 5.
Out of these, 813 candidates appeared for the retest at centers in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Meghalaya. According to officials, none of the retest takers, including those who had previously scored a perfect 720 out of 720 marks, managed to achieve full marks this time. This has reduced the number of top scorers from 67 to 61.
Students who chose not to take the retest will retain their original scores without the grace marks. The NTA has updated the Score Cards for all NEET(UG) 2024 candidates, including those who participated in the retest, on their official website. Candidates can now access and download their revised Score Cards from the NTA’s website (https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/).
The retest results have drawn significant attention amidst ongoing scrutiny over the conduct and fairness of the NEET examination, especially in light of previous allegations of paper leaks and irregularities.
