Mumbai, July 22: Reality show Lock Upp Season 2 witnessed fresh drama after content creator and actor Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, entered the house and immediately confronted fellow contestant Shreya Kalra. Moments after stepping inside, Apoorva looked at Shreya and demanded, “Sorry bolo”, reviving an old dispute between the two creators.
The confrontation stems from their previous appearance together in Netflix‘s Squid Game Creator’s Edition, where both contestants were part of the same team. Although Shreya eventually emerged as the winner, she later criticised Apoorva’s performance during an interview, claiming that Apoorva did not actively participate in tasks and failed to contribute to the team’s efforts.
Shreya also alleged that Apoorva appeared uninterested in the competition and accused her of displaying an arrogant attitude during the show. Her comments attracted widespread attention on social media, with many users defending Apoorva and criticising Shreya for her remarks.
In response, Apoorva addressed the controversy through her Instagram Stories, saying she enjoyed participating in the show despite not being the strongest performer in physical tasks. She also suggested that the criticism only increased discussions about her online.
Their rivalry has now entered Lock Upp Season 2, where Apoorva’s arrival has already changed the dynamics inside the house. Adding to the drama, Apoorva has been assigned as the gang leader of the same group that includes Shreya, giving her authority over several decisions affecting the team.
Before entering the show, Apoorva admitted she had initially decided never to participate in another captive reality show. However, she accepted the offer because she had become a dedicated viewer of Lock Upp and was excited by its format. She also made it clear that her primary goal is to compete and play the game rather than build friendships inside the house.
