Union Minister Krishna Pal Gurjar Launches Major Faridabad Road Project to Boost Connectivity and End Waterlogging

New sewer lines, improved drainage, modern roads and enhanced connectivity projects set to transform Faridabad’s urban infrastructure.

Faridabad: Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Government of India, Krishan Pal Gurjar, stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has made unprecedented progress in the economic, infrastructure, and cultural sectors. Last evening, as part of the development work in Ward No. 20, he formally laid the foundation stone for the road project, to be constructed from the underpass to Siddhdata Ashram Road on the dividing road between Sector 45 and Sector 46, at a cost of approximately ₹3.5 crore (35 million rupees). Badkhal MLA Dhanesh Adalkhah was also present on the occasion. Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Krishan Pal Gurjar, also listened to the problems of the area residents and assured them of their speedy resolution.

Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Krishan Pal Gurjar, stated that since 2014, development work in Faridabad has gained new momentum, and most of the area’s basic problems have been addressed. He said that the government doesn’t just make announcements, but rather implements development projects within the stipulated timeframe. He informed that work on laying a new sewer line at a cost of approximately ₹2.25 crore will begin in the next ten days to address the long-standing sewer problem in Sector 45. Construction of a marriage hall in Sector 46 at a cost of approximately ₹2.25 crore will also commence soon. Furthermore, the main roads between Sectors 45 and 46 will be developed using special technology at a cost of approximately ₹3.5 crore to provide a permanent solution to the problem of water coming from the hilly area. Drainage and security systems will also be developed on both sides of the road.

Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Krishan Pal Gurjar, stated that the road will be lowered, and drains and nets will be installed to address the blind spots and waterlogging in the Mewala underpass area. He added that most of the development work, including boundary walls, gyms, footpaths, and streetlights in the area’s parks, has been completed. He said that before 2014, residents of Sectors 45 and 46 faced significant inconvenience due to traffic jams and railway crossings. However, today, underpasses, wider roads, and improved connectivity have completely transformed the area. The road leading to the Mewala crematorium has also been upgraded to a RMC road.

Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Krishan Pal Gurjar, stated that work is underway to underground all 11,000 kV power lines at a cost of approximately ₹2,800 crore to strengthen Faridabad’s power system. He stated that the survey work will be completed by May and work on the project will begin in the first half of June.

Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Krishan Pal Gurjar, stated that projects related to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and DND will be inspected on May 19th with the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. He said that after the completion of these projects, Faridabad’s connectivity with the rest of the country will be further strengthened, providing seamless travel for the people. He added that in the near future, the Gurgaon-Faridabad-Noida Rapid Metro project, costing approximately ₹15,000 crore, will also be approved by the Central Government. After completion, this project will make travel from Gurgaon to Noida much less time-consuming.

Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Krishan Pal Gurjar, stated that to improve Faridabad’s connectivity, a plan is underway to develop a red-light-free corridor from Ashram to Mewala Underpass, which will save people time and streamline traffic. He stated that despite the global crisis and the situation in the Gulf countries, there has been a limited increase in petroleum prices in India. This is a result of the strong policies of the Central Government.

Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Krishan Pal Gurjar, assured the residents that all their problems will be addressed on a priority basis. He also announced plans to further modernize the hospital, develop a sports complex in the area, and give the village’s entry an attractive look. On this occasion, he instructed the concerned officials to beautify and organize the road slope and entrance.

Councilors Likhi Chaprana, Jagat Fagana, Harendra Bhadana, Sandeep Chaprana, Colonel Devendra Baisla, Deepak Baisla, representatives of the RWA of Sector 45-46, and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
