Baldev Kumar Thukral Elected as RWA President in Sector 16A, Panel Sweeps All Six Seats

Faridabad: The Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) election in Sector 16A concluded with a decisive mandate, with the Baldev Kumar Thukral-led panel sweeping all six elected posts. A total of 414 votes were polled, with residents backing the team’s commitment to cleanliness, greenery, improved civic amenities, social harmony and the overall development of the sector. Baldev Kumar Thukral elected as President with 324 votes, followed by Gaurav Sharma with 59, Neeraj Miglani with 17 and Mukesh Gupta with seven votes and seven votes were declared invalid. For the post of Senior Vice-President, Gurpreet Singh (Sunny) secured 341 votes, defeating Navneet Gumber, who received 66 votes and seven votes were invalid. Bimal Kumar Gupta was elected Vice-President-I with 293 votes, while Anurag Kashyap secured 119 votes and two votes were declared invalid. For Vice-President-II, Sanjay Aggarwal emerged victorious with 355 votes against Renu Pandey’s 50 votes, with nine votes declared invalid. Ajay Gupta was elected General Secretary with 332 votes, while Narender Pal Singh received 73 votes and nine votes were declared invalid. Ankur Gupta Chandiwale was elected Treasurer unopposed.

Speaking after the results, former president Rajeev Gidhar (Goldy) termed the victory a strong mandate for truth, integrity and unity, saying it reflected the trust residents had placed in the new team. “When candidates are good, committed and work together, the entire society benefits.

The real purpose of an RWA is the betterment of residents and the development of the area,” he said. He thanked residents for their support and said the panel had maintained dignity throughout the campaign. He added that the strong mandate also carried greater responsibility to work for the development and welfare of Sector 16A.
Newly elected president Baldev Kumar Thukral said the victory belonged to the entire team and the residents who supported it. He assured residents that the RWA would function with honesty, transparency and dedication. He said the team had prepared a development roadmap and residents could expect visible improvements within the next three to six months. He stressed that the sector’s development would require collective participation from residents as well as effective coordination with civic authorities and the administration. The new team will focus on civic amenities, cleanliness, greenery, development works and stronger community bonding. He also acknowledged the contributions of Yuggal Mittal, Harish Mittal, Madan Mohan Gupta, Akhil Kaliya, Brij Bhushan and Sant Gopal, among others.

On this victory, Akhil Kaliya congratulated the office-bearers and said the panel had earned a strong mandate from residents.
Harish Mittal also expressed his support for the new team, saying the decisive mandate reflected residents’ confidence in its leadership.

Neeraj Ahuja welcomed the panel’s victory and said the new office-bearers deserved the cooperation of all residents. He expressed confidence that with collective support, the team would be able to turn its commitments into visible improvements on the ground. Present on the occasion, J.P. Gupta , Yuggal Mittal and Sant Gopal also congratulated the newly elected RWA team and said the decisive mandate had placed a greater responsibility on the office-bearers to work for the welfare and development of Sector 16A.
The results were followed by celebrations at the Community Centre, where residents and supporters distributed sweets and garlanded the newly elected office-bearers. During this, Madan Mohan Gupta and Manoj Gupta were also present. The new RWA now faces the task of translating its strong electoral mandate into concrete action for a cleaner, greener and better-managed Sector 16A.
