New Delhi, April 1, 2026 : Speaking in the Rajya Sabha during the discussion on The Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Bill, 2026, Member of Parliament from Haryana, Smt. Rekha Sharma expressed strong support for the legislation and described it as an important step toward strengthening India’s internal security framework while reinforcing the institutional structure, service conditions, and morale of personnel serving in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

She further noted that strengthening administrative systems within CAPFs directly contributes to enhancing operational efficiency and institutional coordination, which are critical to addressing emerging internal security challenges in a rapidly evolving national security environment.
