Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former party president Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the memorial and offered floral tributes to Rajiv Gandhi.
The leaders remembered the former prime minister on the occasion and paid homage to his contribution to the country.
Rajiv Gandhi, who served as India’s prime minister from 1984 to 1989, remains a prominent figure in the Congress’s political history. His birth anniversary is observed by party leaders and workers across the country every year.
