Sudha Murty sworn in as Member of Rajya Sabha

Bengaluru, March 14, 2024: Celebrated author Sudha Murty, following her recent nomination to the Upper House of Parliament, took the oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. The ceremony, held in the chamber of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in New Delhi, was attended by her husband and Infosys founder, Narayana Murthy.

Sudha Murty’s nomination to the Rajya Sabha was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on International Women’s Day, acknowledging her significant contributions to social work, philanthropy, and education.
