Faridabad: Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh announced that the district-level Gita Jayanti Mahotsav 2025 will commence with a havan, Gita pujan and an exhibition. He chaired a meeting with officials and representatives of social and religious organisations to ensure smooth execution of all preparations, including cultural programs, seminars and tableaux. DC Singh said that the festival will be celebrated from November 28 to December 1 with great enthusiasm. The four-day event will be organised at HSVP Convention Center, Sector-12. On the first day, Gita scholars will deliver lectures in colleges on the significance of the Gita. On November 29, the festival will formally begin with havan and Gita worship, followed by exhibitions by different departments and cultural performances by school students and folk artists. A seminar will also be held where schoolchildren will recite Gita shlokas along with cultural presentations. On November 30, a grand Shobha Yatra will be taken out in the district, featuring tableaux based on the teachings of the Gita. The concluding day, December 1, will feature Global Gita Chanting, Gita Aarti and Deep Daan by schoolchildren. DC Vikram Singh instructed departments to complete essential arrangements including cleanliness, drinking water supply and other basic facilities at the festival venue and along the Shobha Yatra route in a timely manner. He urged all religious and social organisations to contribute to the success of the event and encouraged public participation on a large scale. The meeting was attended by ADC Satbir Mann, CEO District Council Shikha, SDM Badkhal Trilok Chand, SDM Faridabad Amit Kumar, SDM Ballabhgarh Mayank Bhardwaj, RTA Secretary Munish Sehgal, ACP Rajiv Kumar, DIPRO Moorti Dalal along with officials from various departments and representatives of social and religious organisations.
