Ladli Bahna Yojana is A Symbol of Respect for Sisters and Daughters: CM Dr. Yadav

State Government Committed to Economic Empowerment of Women

Bhopal- Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state government is striving for economic progress of women ensuring social harmony and empowerment for all. As a result, various schemes and programmes are being operated for farmers, youth, welfare of the poor, and women empowerment as envisioned  by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In our culture, the feeling of motherhood for the country is inbuilt. We are always ready to make supreme sacrifice for Bharat Mata.

 Matrushakti Conference is an expression of reverence, affection, love, and respect for mothers and sisters as per Sanatan Dharma. India’s family or household tradition enriches and strengthens our culture. The foundation of family tradition is matrushakti. Daughters bring honour to  families. As a result of this respect towards sisters and daughters, the “Ladli Bahna Yojana” has been launched in the state. In the month of Sawan, an additional Rs 250 will be sent along with Rs 1250 into Ladli Bahnas’ accounts. This is a respect and affection of our government towards sisters and daughters. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the matrashakti conference organized under Matrushakti Utsav held in Singhpur of Satna district on Saturday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the amount given to sisters under Ladli Bahna Yojana will be increased in phases, and by 2028, Rs 3000 per month will be provided to sisters. Under the scheme, more than Rs 1500 crore is being transferred every month for women empowerment and their welfare. All sisters state are our pride and honour. We will leave no stone unturned for their dignity, and welfare. By Bhai Dooj after Diwali, the state government will increase the amount from Rs 1250 to Rs 1500 per month for all Ladli sisters. For empowerment of sisters and daughters, self-help groups are being run, and reservations are being provided in jobs, local and urban bodies, and panchayats. Prime Minister  is committed to providing 33 percent reservation to sisters in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha. For the welfare of mothers and sisters, pucca houses and gas connections are being made available to every household. Didis are progressing by becoming Lakhpati Didis. Proper education arrangements are in place for daughters, and they are being given bicycles and laptops as encouragement for good academic performance. Every possible support is being provided to girls to become doctors and engineers. Special assistance is also being provided by the state government to sisters working in industries.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that to change the lives of farmers, subsidy is being given on solar pumps to make them self-reliant in electricity. In the next one and a half months, the work of Bargi Canal will be completed, due to which sufficient water for drinking and irrigation will be available in Rewa-Satna region. Our government has resolved to water every field and is committed to fulfilling this. Till year 2002-03, irrigation facilities were available only in 7 lakh hectares. Currently, we are providing irrigation in 55 lakh hectares. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the goal is to provide irrigation facilities in 100 lakh hectares by year 2028.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that wheat was procured this year at Rs 2600 per quintal. In the next two years, wheat procurement may be done at Rs 2700 per quintal. Through Prime Minister Modi, approval for 4 crore houses for the poor is expected soon. Arrangement for free ration for 80 crore people is in place till 2028. For children’s education, schools like Sandipani Vidyalaya are functional. All this is equivalent to realizing the vision of Ram Rajya.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is constructing Ram Van Gaman Path. Along with this, places where Lord Shri Krishna performed his leelas will also be developed as pilgrimage sites. For increasing farmers’ income, cow rearing is being encouraged. With increased milk production, adequate nutrition will be available to all family members. Therefore, the government is working with the spirit of “Jiske Ghar Gai, Wahi Gopal” to promote cow rearing in every household. The state contributes 9 percent of the country’s milk production; the goal is to take it to 20 percent. If any cow-rearer keeps 25 cows, Rs 10 lakh will be given as subsidy out of the Rs 40 lakh cost. In gaushalas, Rs 40 per cow is now being provided instead of Rs 20. If more than 5000 cows are kept, 130 acres of land and Rs 40 per cow assistance is being arranged. For proper care of cows, assistance is also being provided to municipal corporations, councils, and panchayats.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are sufficient industrial activities operating in Rewa-Satna region. To promote tourism in this region, the state government will assist in developing homestays. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Satna district is associated with Lord Shri Ram, hence no efforts will be spared for the development of this region. He administered a pledge to the public present to contribute in making Satna the best district of the state by upgrading their village and neighbourhood.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, in the Matrushakti Utsav program, inaugurated and performed bhoomi-pujan of 232 works worth more than Rs 93 crore. These development works include inauguration of 135 works costing Rs 44.07 crore and bhoomi-pujan of 97 works costing Rs 49.11 crore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that an initiative will be taken to set up a proposed solar plant in Singhpur of Raigaon Assembly Constituency. Government is also providing subsidy for solar power to promote renewable energy. Subsidy is being given for solar energy to energize farmers’ pumps. Chief Minister said that the government has resolved to give irrigation water to every village and every field. Narmada water will soon reach Satna district.

Urban Development and Housing Minister  Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has come to Singhpur of Satna district to celebrate Raksha Bandhan festival. Several works are being carried out for women empowerment through self-help groups. In Satna district alone, more than 12 thousand Didis have reached the Lakhpati Didi category. Our government is committed to welfare of farmers, providing advancement opportunities to youth, and delivering all possible support to the poor. Under the leadership of Prime Minister  Modi, India is moving forward on the path of becoming a powerful nation in the world.

Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing Smt. Pratima Bagri said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has come to the region before Raksha Bandhan in the month of Shravan and is celebrating the biggest festival of brother-sister with the sisters. She said that in Madhya Pradesh, women power is becoming strong and empowered today. They are playing a role in the development of their area and village as representatives in panchayati raj and urban bodies. She informed that development works have been done in Raigaon Assembly Constituency Our government has moved from resolution to accomplishment, making matrushakti self-reliant and economically strong.

MP Ganesh Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the state government has taken many innovations, bringing schemes to every village and home. Along with connecting mothers and sisters with empowerment schemes, a white revolution movement has also been started under the Kamdhenu Yojana. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, industrial and tourism revolutions are being promoted, and conclaves are being organized at division level, providing employment opportunities to youth.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the exhibition set up by various government departments at the programme venue and tasted products made by women’s self-help groups. On the occasion of Matrushakti Utsav, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited decorative swings and blessed Ladli daughters, gave them gifts while swinging them. On stage, Ladli sisters affectionately presented a 20-foot-long rakhi to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and tied rakhis on his wrist. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed symbolic CCL cheques to 10 self-help groups of the State Livelihood Mission. Under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, 11 Navankur sisters were gifted saplings planted from seeds as part of the newly launched Sakhi Hariyali Yatra campaign in the state. On Raksha Bandhan, these Navankur sisters will tie rakhi to these plants and take a pledge to nurture them.

MLAs  Nagendra Singh, Vikram Singh,  Surendra Singh Gaharwar, District Panchayat President Ramkhelawan Kol, Vice President Sushmita Singh, Mayor Yogesh Tamrakar and a large number of Ladli sisters were present.
