Mega Job Fair to be organized in Delhi – Shri Kapil Mishra

NEW DELHI, 02 July, 2025: Minister of the Delhi Government, Kapil Mishra, today held an important review meeting at the Delhi Secretariat with senior officials of the departments of Law & Justice, Labour, Employment, Development, Tourism, Art, Culture, and Language. The meeting was organized as part of the preparations for the departmental review meeting proposed by Hon’ble Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in the first week of July.

The meeting extensively reviewed the progress of major projects of the Delhi Government announced in the Budget for the Financial Year 2025-26. Departments were asked to provide information on their upcoming action plans and the timely completion of schemes. There was also detailed discussion on the implementation status of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

In this review meeting, the Department of Art, Culture, and Language discussed the launch of the “Talent Hunt Scheme”, aimed at discovering and providing a platform to the hidden talents among Delhi’s youth.

Additionally, under a key scheme of the Development Department, the proposal for establishing a state-of-the-art Model Gaushala in Ghummanhera village was discussed in the meeting. A detailed discussion also took place on the plan to provide an additional ₹3000 financial assistance to farmers under the “PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme” for the comprehensive development of Delhi.

The Labour Department’s plans to establish a Welfare Board for unorganized sector workers and organize a Job Fair were also reviewed.

To develop Delhi as an international tourism hub, several plans were presented by the Tourism Department. These include organizing a boat tour from Sonia Vihar to Jagatpur Shani Mandir, branding Delhi and promoting tourist destinations, initiating a fellowship program for youth in the tourism sector, organizing an International Film Festival to establish Delhi as a prime film production center, developing a new tourism circuit connecting War Memorial, Kartavya Path, and Prime Ministers’ Museum, and hosting an annual Winter Festival featuring cultural programs, music, and food festivals. Additionally, the plan to construct a new guest house in Delhi was also part of the review.

 

During the review of the Law & Justice Department, discussions were held on the construction of a residential complex for judicial officers in Dwarka Sector 19 and the redevelopment and new construction plans on the vacant land in the District Court premises, Dwarka.

In the Employment Department’s review, extensive discussions were held on the proposed ‘Job Fair’. The Delhi Government’s priority through this proposed ‘Job Fair’ is to provide large-scale employment opportunities to unemployed youth.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Kapil Mishra directed all officials to complete development works within the set timeline, with transparency and efficiency, so that the benefits of the schemes directly reach the public. He said that the work should be completed within the stipulated time frame. Under no circumstances should the work be stalled. If it requires frequent meetings, we are fully prepared for that as well.
