Taking to social media, Zinta expressed her outrage, saying, “Shame on you for spreading false information.” She denied the allegation, emphasizing that she has never applied for or received any such loan. Zinta also accused the party of tarnishing her reputation by spreading baseless claims and urged them to verify facts before making public statements.
The controversy began when the Kerala Congress, in a social media post, alleged that Zinta had taken a loan of ₹18 crore from a financial institution.
