Workshop on UNNATI 2024 Scheme Held for Northeastern Region Officers

New Delhi, August 9, 2024: A workshop on the Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialisation Scheme (UNNATI), 2024, was successfully conducted for Northeastern Region officers at Vanjiya Bhawan, New Delhi. Organized by the Northeastern Region Subsidy Scheme (NERS) section of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the event saw active participation from representatives of all eight Northeastern states.

The workshop, chaired by Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, focused on addressing the concerns of the states and providing a strategic framework for the effective implementation of the UNNATI, 2024 Scheme. Joint Secretary Shri Balamurugan further outlined a detailed roadmap for the scheme’s execution.

Representatives from each state showcased the industrialization incentives and growth opportunities in their regions, highlighting the immense potential for development across the Northeast. Over 80 officers from the Northeastern states and various union ministries engaged in productive discussions, contributing valuable suggestions to enhance the effectiveness of the UNNATI scheme.

The workshop facilitated meaningful dialogue and laid a strong foundation for transformative development in the Northeast, with optimism for the continued progress and growth of the region.
