PCCM/Northern Railway Shri Nar Singh Engages with Mandi Govindgarh Industry to Enhance Rail Logistics

New Delhi , 6 February , 2025 – In an endeavour to explore the loading potential and to collaborate with the Mandi GovindGarh industry, Principal Chief Cmmercial Manager/ Northern Railway Shri Nar Singh,IRTS visited the Steel town of Punjab. In the interaction meeting, industry leaders, who attended in large number explained their business logistical requirements. The partaking players while applauding Railway’s efforts in improving customer service highlighted the need for an ICD at Mandi Govindgarh. Further, the demand was raised for stoppage of few New Delhi bound trains at Mandi Govindgarh, which would help connect the industry here with the Capital.
Shri Nar Singh carefully listened to the requirements and instructed divisional officers to examine them. Further, various initiatives taken by the Railways to remove the impediments and bottlenecks to ensure the ease of doing the business with railways were highlighted. It was assured to the participating business entities that Railways is committed to provide hassle free services to them and their inputs and feedback would help Railways better its efforts and to create a win-win situation

A visit to rolling mill was undertaken by the PCCM, Shri Nar Singh to understand the ground level requirement of Mandi Govindgarh MSME players. Inspection of the Mandi Govindgarh yard was also done. Later he interacted with DRM/Ambala and other divisional officers at Ambala Division’s HQ.
