Haryana Government Invites E-Tenders for Allocation of Retail Liquor Zones under Excise Policy 2025-27
Revised Provisions Provide Relief to Bidders
The Impressive TimesSonipat, May 24:Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (Excise), Jitendra Raghav, informed that the Haryana Government has invited e-tenders from the general public for the allocation of retail liquor zones in the district under the Excise Policy for the year 2025–27.
He stated that the start date for submitting e-tenders is set for May 28, 2025, at 9:00 AM, and the last date for submission is May 29, 2025, by 4:00 PM. The evaluation of the e-tenders will take place on the same day at 5:00 PM.
Raghav further informed that keeping public convenience in mind, certain provisions in the Excise Policy 2025–27 — specifically clauses 2.8, 3.3.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, and 6.6 — have been amended.
As per the revised clause 6.1, the successful bidder is now required to deposit only 2% of the license fee as security on the day of allocation, instead of the earlier 3%.
Within 7 days of allocation, the bidder must deposit:
* 3% of the license fee as security (earlier 4%), and
* The remaining 6% security (earlier 8%) by June 18, 2025.
Thus, the total security amount required from the bidder has been reduced from 15% to just 11%.
He said this amendment aims to make the policy simpler, more transparent, and convenient for bidders.
