New Delhi, June 12: The promotional campaign for the 4th Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 commenced with a grand roadshow in the national capital on Thursday, marking the beginning of a nationwide outreach initiative aimed at attracting industry leaders, exporters, buyers, investors and trade organizations from across the country.
Scheduled to be held from September 25 to 29, 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, UPITS has emerged as one of India’s leading state-led trade exhibitions. The event is jointly organized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) and is expected to witness extensive domestic and international participation.

The Delhi roadshow was attended by Uttar Pradesh MSME Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary, Minister of State for MSME Hans Raj Vishwakarma, Principal Secretary (MSME & Export Promotion) Shashi Bhushan Lal Susheel, senior government officials, industry representatives and export promotion bodies.
Addressing the gathering, Bhupendra Chaudhary highlighted UPITS as a key platform showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s industrial capabilities, export potential, entrepreneurial strength and cultural heritage. He said the trade show has played a crucial role in strengthening MSMEs, promoting One District One Product (ODOP) initiatives and creating new business opportunities, while contributing to the state’s ambition of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy.

Minister of State Hans Raj Vishwakarma described UPITS as a gateway connecting Uttar Pradesh with global markets. He said the event combines India’s traditional trade fair culture with a modern international business platform, enabling artisans, entrepreneurs and businesses to access wider markets.
Principal Secretary Shashi Bhushan Lal Susheel emphasized that UPITS reflects the state’s vision of positioning Uttar Pradesh as a preferred destination for manufacturing, exports, investments and industrial growth. Through a series of roadshows across India, the government aims to enhance participation from businesses, institutions and buyers.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Exposition Mart Limited, said the strong response received over the past three editions has established UPITS as a trusted platform bringing together manufacturers, exporters, startups, artisans, policymakers and investors under one roof. He expressed confidence that the upcoming edition would set new benchmarks in participation and business generation.
Highlighting the international appeal of the trade show, Suvidh Shah, Additional Director General of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), noted that growing participation from overseas buyers reflects increasing global interest in products and opportunities originating from Uttar Pradesh. He reaffirmed FIEO’s commitment to facilitating meaningful international business engagements.
The previous edition of UPITS, held in September 2025, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and recorded significant participation. More than 5 lakh visitors, including over 1.4 lakh business visitors, attended the event, while 2,228 exhibitors showcased their products across more than 35,000 square metres of exhibition space. The event also welcomed over 550 international buyers from 85 countries, generating substantial business opportunities for participating enterprises.

Organizers said the Delhi roadshow is the first in a series of promotional events planned across multiple states to strengthen domestic buyer participation, encourage inter-state trade and enhance sourcing from Indian enterprises. At the same time, UPITS 2026 will continue its focus on expanding international outreach and positioning Uttar Pradesh as a major global sourcing destination.
With its focus on MSMEs, ODOP products, innovation, exports, tourism, handicrafts, culture and emerging industries, UPITS 2026 is expected to play a significant role in boosting trade, investment and global partnerships as Uttar Pradesh advances towards its trillion-dollar economy goal and contributes to India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
