Uttar Pradesh Ready to Offer Full Support to Investors: Chief Secretary

Greater Noida, March 09: Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary Uttar Pradesh emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is the best place to invest in. He added that the state government is ready to provide full support to them. He was speaking on the occasion of laying of foundation stone for the new air conditioning (AC) plant of Haier Appliances Company at the IIT GL Integrated Industrial Township.

Alongside the groundbreaking, the Chief Secretary also inaugurated the company’s Injection Molding Plant in the presence of Greater Noida Authority CEO, NG Ravi Kumar. Haier will invest ₹1,000 crore in the new AC plant and create employment opportunities for around 3,500 people.

The Chief Secretary after a company tour addressed the gathering following the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies. He said that Haier India is playing a significant role not just in Uttar Pradesh but also in contributing to the country’s economy. He highlighted the rapid development in Uttar Pradesh over the past seven years, noting that in 2007, the state’s economy was ₹12.54 lakh crore, and today, it has grown to ₹27 lakh crore. No other state in India has an economy this large.
Uttar Pradesh, with a population of around 24 crore, is the most populous state in India, surpassing any other state in terms of population. Furthermore, the state is in a better position than many other states in terms of food grain production. He mentioned that Uttar Pradesh is not only a powerhouse in food grains for India but also for the world. The state is also among the leading ones in industrial production across the country.

The Chief Secretary called on industries to step forward for industrial innovation and assured investors of all possible cooperation. Greater Noida Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar pointed out that Uttar Pradesh has achieved remarkable successes in every sector over the past seven years. He also praised Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh for his dedication to industrial investment in the state and invited investors to consider Greater Noida for future ventures.
The event was also attended by District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, Greater Noida Authority ACEO Srilakshmi VS, ACEO Prerna Singh, OSD Abhishek Pathak, OSD NK Singh, General Manager AK Singh, Haier Appliances India President NS Satish, senior officials and employees of the company.
