The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted extensive to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy downpours across northwest and east India over the next 2 to 3 days.
According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy precipitation is expected in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today, and in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura until the 10th of this month. Additionally, significant rainfall is anticipated in Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, and Gangetic West Bengal today.
Similar weather conditions are forecasted for Tamil Nadu, West Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand today. Over the next 2 days, these conditions will also affect Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
The IMD has also predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi throughout the week.
