Sirsa, May 14, 2024 : All India Congress Committee general secretary and Congress candidate from Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency Kumari Selja said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dividing the country in the name of caste and religion, while Congress has always worked to unite 36 communities. We promote brotherhood. Politics is a different matter but brotherhood has to be maintained above politics. She said that after Congress comes to power, we will sit together and solve the problems of farmers, labourers, poor and women, you will not need to stage protests. Kumari Selja was addressing public meetings in many villages and urban areas of the assembly constituency including Ellenabad’s village Madhusinghana, Malekan, Bhurtwala, Pohadka, Bar Association premises, Ellenabad, Khari Sureran, Dholpalia on Tuesday.
In her address, Kumari Selja said that in the last ten years, BJP did not do any development work, so now instead of talking about development, they are busy confusing people with absurd things. Now people have understood their slogans. She said that Congress has always talked about development and brotherhood. Through a journey of 10 thousand kilometres, Rahul Gandhi understood the pain and suffering of the people living in every corner of the country. Accordingly, the Congress manifesto was named Nyay Patra, in which it has been announced to give 5 justice and 25 guarantees to the people. Kumari Selja said that Prime Minister Modi has put up hoardings all over the country with the slogan that he is giving free ration to 80 crore people. Whereas, the reality is that this ration is provided under the National Food Security Act of the year 2013, which was passed by Dr. Manmohan Singh and the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi opposed it. Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana
(PMGKAY) is nothing but the rebranding of the National Food Security Act of 2013 (NFSA). She said that today when the population is 141 crore, 95 crore people should get subsidized ration under this, not just 80 crore people. Kumari Selja said that due to the failure of the Modi government to conduct the census in 2021, only 81 crore people are getting ration today. 14 crore more Indians are legally entitled to ration, but due to this failure of the Modi government, they are being deprived of their rights. Kumari Selja said that this election is not an election of a person, caste, religion, it is an election of all. It is an election to save democracy and the Constitution. It is not an election of anyone’s benefit or loss. Before coming to power in 2014, Modi had said that he would give 15 lakhs to every person, did they get it? He had said that he would give 2 crore jobs every year, i.e. 20 crore in 10 years, but no one got anything. He had said that the income of farmers would be doubled, but the income has been halved. They had talked about working for the progress of Dalits and backward classes but did not do anything. Kumari Selja said that now the public has understood that Modi and RSS together will destroy the constitution and kill democracy. Therefore, the public has to teach them a lesson in the elections by voting. To save the constitution, to protect the future of the coming generations, and to get rid of inflation, people are expecting from the Congress and India alliance, which is why they are standing together. Amit Chachan MLA Mohar, former MLA Bharat Singh Beniwal, Pawan Beniwal, Santosh Beniwal, Gopi Ram Chadiwal, Malkit Singh Khosa, Ladhu Ram Puniya, Anil Khod, Karnail Singh etc. were present.
Gurraj Khattar and Pradeep Khattar left BJP and joined Congress

In the presence of Kumari Selja, Gurraj Khattar and Pradeep Khattar, along with their colleagues, left BJP and joined the Congress. They said that in BJP, workers do not get the respect that they get in Congress. Kumari Selja said that those who join Congress will be given full respect.
