Arne Slot Backs Mohamed Salah for Grand Farewell as Liverpool Star Nears Exit

Liverpool manager confirms Salah’s injury is minor, expects return before season ends

Liverpool- Arne Slot has said that Mohamed Salah deserves a memorable farewell as the forward prepares to leave Liverpool FC at the end of the ongoing season.

Salah, who picked up an injury during Liverpool’s recent win over Crystal Palace, was initially feared to have played his final match for the club. However, the team later confirmed that the issue was only a minor muscle problem.

Speaking ahead of the crucial clash against Manchester United, Slot reassured fans that the Egyptian forward is likely to return before the campaign concludes, although he will miss the upcoming fixture.

The Liverpool boss described Salah as a quick recovery player and expressed relief that the injury is not serious, ensuring he can feature again before his departure.

Salah, who received a standing ovation from fans as he left the pitch during his last appearance, has been one of Liverpool’s most influential players since joining the club in 2017. With 257 goals in 440 matches, he ranks among the club’s all-time top scorers.

Despite a brief fallout earlier in the season between the player and manager, Salah quickly returned to the squad and continued to play a key role in Liverpool’s campaign.

With four matches remaining, Liverpool are currently in a strong position to secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, sitting fourth in the standings.

Slot emphasized the importance of finishing in the top positions, stating that qualification for Europe’s elite competition is essential for a club of Liverpool’s stature.

The manager also provided an update on goalkeeper Alisson Becker, noting that he is close to returning to training but will not be rushed back to avoid further risk.
