Orry Targets Dhruv Rathee Again, Calls Him ‘Anti-National’ Over Selective Narratives

Mumbai: Content creator Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has once again sparked controversy by taking aim at YouTuber and political commentator Dhruv Rathee. During a recent appearance on the KK Create podcast, Orry criticised Rathee, accusing him of discussing issues selectively and only when they align with his preferred narrative.

Speaking about his dislike for the YouTuber, Orry recalled an incident in which he was featured in the thumbnail of one of Rathee’s videos. He claimed that the thumbnail led him to believe the video was about him, only to discover that his appearance was brief.

“I don’t like him because he used me as a thumbnail on his video. I ended up watching a long video expecting it to be about me, but I was there for only a few seconds,” Orry said during the podcast.

Orry further alleged that Rathee chooses topics selectively and does not address certain issues consistently. While admitting that he does not closely follow all of Rathee’s content, Orry said he disagrees with what he described as a one-sided approach to commentary and public discourse.

The latest remarks add another chapter to the ongoing public disagreement between the two personalities. Their feud first gained attention last year when Orry defended actor Janhvi Kapoor after Rathee released a video discussing beauty standards in Bollywood and speculating about cosmetic procedures among celebrities.

At the time, Orry publicly backed Kapoor and criticised Rathee’s content, accusing him of creating such videos to attract attention. His comments generated significant discussion on social media and drew reactions from supporters and critics alike.

Rathee has also faced criticism from several public figures in the past over his political commentary. Some actors and public personalities have disagreed with his views on national and political issues, while his supporters have defended his right to express opinions and engage in public debate.

The renewed exchange has once again triggered conversations online, with social media users divided over Orry’s criticism and Rathee’s style of content creation. Neither Dhruv Rathee nor his team had publicly responded to Orry’s latest remarks at the time of writing.
