Ranchi, 29 December 2023– The Jharkhand Government has completed four years under the dynamic leadership of state Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren. A state level function was organized at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi to mark the occasion.
Addressing a large public gathering, Chief Minister Hemant Soren sId that his government has been committed to all round development of the state and has been on course to fulfill its promises in a time bound manner.
He announced a pension scheme for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste persons of 50 years and above in the state under the Universal Pension Scheme. The Chief Minister also promised that the money received as commission by ration dealers will also be increased soon.
Reflecting upon the journey of the last 4 years, he said that it has been quite a challenging one from the Corona pandemic to a drought like situation in the state. However, his government worked round the clock to ensure the life and livelihood of people from every walk of life especially the poor, labourers and the deprived ones.
CM Soren pointed out that his government cares for the rural populace and the focus is on strengthening the rural economy. For this purpose, the outreach to the people by organizing camps in Panchayat under the program “ Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar” program has been quite successful
in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. It has helped solve the problems and ensured the program benefit reaches out to the deserving citizens. Buoyed by the success, the Jharkhand government has decided that the camps will now be organized in each Gram Panchayat every year. Officials will reach the door steps of the people and resolve their problems. A new scheme 8s being launched to this effect.
CM Soren said that in the last two phases of the “Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar – Aapke Dwar” programme, lakhs of people came to the camps with their problems. This clearly shows how serious the problems were at the grass roots. But, no government in the past cared about this aspect People were neither getting the benefits of the schemes nor were their problems being resolved. But here is a government which cares for the people, reaches out to them and addresses their concerns.
The Chief Minister asked people to compare the work done in the last four years vis a vis the last 20 years..He said that the previous governments had invalidated 11 lakh ration cards while his government has issued 20 lakh green ration cards. In addition, it is working to provide them the ration free of cost by purchasing grains at market prices. The pulses will also be given to ration card holders. Apart from this, only 8 lakh people received pension in the last 20 years. Now, the state government has ensured that all the eligible beneficiaries of the state can receive the pension in 4 years. In the last 20 years, only eight lakh farmers had received Kisan Credit Card, while 20 lakh Kisan Credit Cards have been issued in just 4 years.
The Jharkhand Government is committed for quality education , said the state Chief Minister. He informed that 80 Schools of excellence in education have been set up across the state and the number will be increased to 5000. Guru jee Credit cards will be given to students from Grade 10 till 12 to ensure their career goals.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over the migration of laborers from Jharkhand to other states in search of livelihood. He said that his government is committed to provide more and more opportunities to the people in the state itself so that they need not go anywhere else for employment.
CM Soren highlighted the all round development and job opportunities in Jharkhand. 15000 kilometer stretch of rural roads and 7000 kilometer high quality road network is there for enhanced connectivity. The job opportunities have been enhanced and process has been expedited to fill over 45009 government posts.
The Chief Minister told that Jharkhand has always been the land of heroes who strive hard for the sake of water, forest and land rights and struggled against injustice and exploitation since the British rule. He recalled the struggle for a separate state of Jharkhand over the last four decades. The Chief Minister told that we owe a salute to those who laid down their lives for statehood and make a promise to move ahead towards building the Jharkhand of their dreams.
