Faridabad, 12 June:  On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, a blood donation camp was organized in Sector-33, Corporate Office of Ministry of Power, National Power Training Institute (NPTI) in collaboration with ESI Medical College, in which students, officers and employees donated blood in large numbers voluntarily. This year, on 14 June, World Blood Donor Day is being celebrated all over the world on the theme “Give blood – give hope, together we save lives”. In which NPTI has also played its part. During this, the students, officers and employees of NPTI paid tribute to the passengers killed by observing silence on the plane crash in Ahmedabad. After the completion of the blood donation camp, the officers and employees of NPTI also took an oath to donate blood for the needy on World Blood Donor Day.

On the directions of NPTI Director General Dr. Tripta Thakur, health camps are organized from time to time for students, officers and employees in the training institute. Apart from this, NPTI also ensures its participation in the interest of the country by organizing blood donation camps. Dr. Thakur said that blood donation is the greatest donation. In today’s modern era, almost everything is possible to be made by machines, but blood is one such thing that cannot be made by any machine. Therefore, everyone should keep donating blood from time to time and avoid false rumors about the problems arising from donating blood.

Dr. Akhil Kumar, Dr. Poonam Saini, Dr. Sarvesh Mishra from the team of ESI Medical College located at NIT number three, along with nursing and helping staff were also present in this camp.
