The Impressive TimesNEW DELHI, FEBUARY 03, 2025: To counter BJP’s calculated attempt to rig the elections through EVM manipulation, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has urged Delhiites to vote in overwhelming numbers. Highlighting that BJP could tamper with up to 10% of the votes, the AAP Chief called for a decisive lead beyond this margin to safeguard democracy. In a bold move, AAP has launched a dedicated website to track polling data, ensuring transparency and preventing foul play.
In a video message, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Today, I want to talk to you about a very important issue. Everywhere I go, people are telling me the same thing: ‘Kejriwal ji, we vote for you, but we don’t know where our votes go. Kejriwal ji, take care of these machines; they are highly compromised. These people have tampered with the machine’.”
“I want to tell the people of Delhi that, according to my sources, they can manipulate up to 10% of the votes through these machines. That’s why you need to vote in overwhelming numbers—so much so that every single voter of ‘jhaadu’ must come out to cast their vote for the ‘jhaadu’ (AAP’s electoral symbol),” asserted the AAP Supremo.
Arvind Kejriwal affirmed, “If we manage a 15% lead, we will win by 5%. Give us a lead over 10%. Vote in such massive numbers, vote so decisively, that we overpower their machines. This is the only way to defeat their machine manipulation—by voting in huge numbers.”
Announcing the launch of a website to tackle machine manipulation, The AAP Chief stated, “As a precaution, we have created a website. Based on the lessons learned from the Maharashtra and Haryana elections, we have decided that on the night of the 5th, we will upload six crucial pieces of information about every polling booth onto this website to prevent tampering with the machines.”
Arvind Kejriwal noted the following 6 piece of information that will be available on the portal:
1. Name or number of the polling booth.
2. Name of the presiding officer at that polling booth.
3. The control unit’s ID—essentially, the identification number of the machine being used for voting.
4. The total number of votes cast at that booth by the end of the day. This will ensure that if 800 votes were cast, the counting reflects exactly 800 votes. Many times, allegations arise that only 600 votes were cast, but the final count shows 800. This will not be possible anymore because we will upload all this data on our website on the night of February 5.
5. The battery percentage of the machine at the end of polling. This will help track whether any machines were replaced later. If the machine was taken away with a certain battery percentage and later shows a different charge, we will know something has been tampered with.
6. The name of the party polling agent.
Arvind Kejriwal asserted, “These six details will be uploaded to our website that very night. If they try to manipulate results on counting day, we will have the data to cross-check. If there is any discrepancy between what we recorded and what they declare, we will know that fraud has taken place.”
“We all need to come together to ensure that they cannot manipulate Delhi’s elections. Finally, I want to repeat: every single vote must be cast. If we want to defeat their EVM manipulation, then every single vote, every single vote of ‘jhaadu’ must be casted,” concluded the AAP Supremo.
