India’s Journey to Growth: PM Modi Highlights People’s Aspirations as the Driving Force

Bhubaneswar, Jan 28, 2025: India is charting a development path fueled by the aspirations of millions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated.

Inaugurating the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 at Janata Maidan on Tuesday, Modi emphasized that AI represents both Artificial Intelligence and Aspirations of India, the nation’s true strength.

He remarked that aspirations thrive when people’s needs are fulfilled, and the past decade has empowered millions of citizens, propelling the nation forward.

The Prime Minister described Odisha as a representation of India’s rising aspirations, praising the state as exceptional and a symbol of optimism and ingenuity in New India.

Modi noted that Odisha is emerging as a leader in multiple industries, including food processing, petrochemicals, port-driven growth, fisheries, IT, edutech, textiles, tourism, mining, and green energy.

Addressing investors, he urged them to capitalize on Odisha’s transformation journey, assuring them that their investments would yield unparalleled returns. “This is my guarantee,” he affirmed.

Stating that this was Odisha’s largest-ever business summit, the PM highlighted that the Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 had drawn five to six times more investors than earlier editions. He applauded the people and the Odisha Government for hosting such a grand event.

“Eastern India serves as a growth engine for national development, and Odisha is a vital part of this,” Modi stated.

He underscored the historic significance of Eastern India, which once played a prominent role in global commerce and industrial development.

The PM highlighted Odisha’s past as a thriving hub for ports, trade, and industry, citing its importance in South-East Asian trade.

Recalling his meeting with the Indonesian President, Modi shared that the leader remarked on the deep historical connections between Odisha and Indonesia, calling it part of his DNA.

The Prime Minister observed that Odisha is reclaiming its historical legacy in the 21st century, with ASEAN nations eager to strengthen trade and cultural ties.

He further noted that Odisha’s progress is unlocking unprecedented opportunities, adding that the Singaporean President also recently expressed great interest in collaborating with the state.
