DAV Public School Faridabad organizes ‘Warm Hugs’ Campaign

Faridabad, 28 December 2024– DAV Public School NTPC Faridabad recently organized an inspirational programme aimed at instilling a deep sense of social service and environmental responsibility among its students. The initiative was designed to inspire young minds to take active roles in creating a compassionate and sustainable society.

As part of this programme, the school launched a thoughtful campaign named ‘Warm Hugs’, in collaboration with the Interact Club and Rotary Club Faridabad. The campaign centered around the noble cause of collecting and donating warm clothes to help those in need during the harsh winter season. Students, teachers, and staff members enthusiastically came together, contributing generously to this cause. Their collective efforts culminated in the distribution of warm clothing, bringing much-needed relief and comfort to underprivileged sections of society. The campaign beautifully demonstrated the power of love and compassion, leaving a lasting impression on both participants and beneficiaries.

In addition to its focus on social service, the school reinforced its commitment to environmental conservation. Recognizing the growing challenge of e-waste, the school partnered with an authorized company, ‘Scrap Uncle’, to ensure the safe and environmentally friendly disposal of electronic waste. This proactive step not only promoted sustainable practices but also educated students about the importance of responsible waste management.

The Principal of the school, Mrs. Alka Arora, lauded the students and teachers for their enthusiastic participation in both initiatives. She emphasized that these activities not only foster a sense of social responsibility but also prepare students to become environmentally conscious citizens.
