Education Minister Announces District Level Teacher Teams and New Innovation Driven Roadmap for Government Schools

Chandigarh, May 7, 2026: Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda has announced that the state government is preparing a comprehensive new roadmap aimed at improving the quality of education in government schools and bringing them closer to global standards.

The minister directed education department officials to ensure that quality learning and a better academic environment reach students at the grassroots level, especially those studying in remote and underserved areas. He emphasized that strengthening foundational education remains the top priority of the government.

As part of the proposed reform plan, special teams of skilled and experienced teachers will be formed at the district level to introduce innovative teaching practices and improve classroom learning outcomes. These teams will focus on identifying gaps in the current system and implementing practical solutions for academic improvement.

The initiative will also align with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020, with a strong emphasis on the holistic development of students, including academic, skill based and personality development.

Officials stated that the upcoming framework aims to transform government schools into more efficient, student friendly and future ready institutions, ensuring equitable access to quality education across Haryana.
