China Supports All Initiatives for a Peaceful Resolution of the Ukraine Crisis – Foreign Ministry

Beijing, Feb 14 ,2025: China has expressed its support for all diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Ukraine conflict through peaceful negotiations, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated, as quoted by the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday.

On Thursday, Wang Yi co-chaired the 10th China-UK Strategic Dialogue in London alongside UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy. During their discussions, both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on the Ukraine crisis, the ministry reported.

“China welcomes all initiatives that promote peaceful negotiations and supports the creation of a fair, effective, and lasting European security framework to ensure long-term stability in the region,” Wang said, according to the ministry’s statement.

He further emphasized that China is willing to collaborate with all relevant parties, including the European Union, to play a constructive role in fostering diplomatic solutions to the ongoing crisis.

Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry reiterated that Russia remains open to dialogue in addressing the Ukraine conflict. Moscow continues to advocate for a comprehensive, just, and lasting resolution, which it believes can only be achieved by tackling the underlying causes of the crisis.
