Landslide In Ecuador’s Tungurahua Province Kills 8, Injures 3, Disrupts Hydroelectric Plants

In the central Tungurahua province of Ecuador, a landslide on a major route resulted in the deaths of at least eight persons and the injuries of three.

The road in the resort town of Banos de Agua Santa was closed due to a landslide, which also caused damage to nearby homes. The intense rains had also caused three hydroelectric units to lose power.
