Mumbai, October 18, 2024– Superstar Salman Khan continues to fulfill his professional commitments despite facing increased security threats. Recently, he filmed an episode for the popular reality show Bigg Boss 18, with enhanced security protocols in place.
As per reports, Salman Khan has been receiving fresh threats, allegedly from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. However, this has not disrupted his filming schedule. On Thursday night, the actor arrived on the set to shoot for *Bigg Boss 18* under heavy security. Strict measures have been implemented, including the deployment of over 60 security personnel to ensure the actor’s safety.
The production team has worked closely with Salman’s security team, and additional restrictions have been enforced. Only authorized personnel are allowed on the premises, and guards are required to check the Aadhaar cards of anyone entering the compound. Moreover, the *Bigg Boss 18* crew has been instructed to stay on-site until filming is complete. Despite the heightened risks, Salman Khan’s filming schedule remains uninterrupted. Sources indicate that Salman stayed at his on-site chalet to ensure his security ahead of his call time on Friday. These precautions are part of a comprehensive effort by his team, along with production and channel officials, to maintain his safety during the ongoing threats.
Earlier in the day, news surfaced that a threatening message was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police via WhatsApp. The message demanded ₹5 crore from Salman Khan, with the sender warning that if the money wasn’t paid, Salman’s situation would be worse than that of politician Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered.
Mumbai Police has launched an investigation into the threat, which has been linked to the gang led by Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi, who is currently imprisoned in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail, has reportedly marked Salman Khan as a target, along with several other high-profile figures.
The threats against Salman Khan are linked to the recent assassination of Baba Siddique, a prominent politician, who was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Mumbai last week. Three attackers, allegedly connected to the Bishnoi gang, were involved in the killing. Baba Siddique was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The tragic incident has further heightened concerns about the safety of individuals on Bishnoi’s alleged hit list, which includes Salman Khan.
Despite the ongoing threats, Salman Khan remains committed to his work, continuing to host Bigg Boss 18 under stringent security measures.
