Mumbai, June 15, 2026: Actor Dipika Kakar has shared an update about her ongoing cancer treatment journey, revealing that she experienced back pain and mild fever after undergoing her first immunotherapy session.
In her latest vlog, Dipika spoke about her health condition and explained that she recently started double immunotherapy after doctors detected two new cysts during her treatment. She said the first infusion was completed in the first week of June and that she is currently undergoing regular monitoring.
The actor revealed that she has been feeling tired after the treatment and experienced significant back pain along with a mild fever. However, she clarified that her medical reports are normal and the symptoms have not been linked to any serious complications.
Dipika said that the immunotherapy treatment will continue, with upcoming blood tests and scans planned to assess how her body is responding to the therapy. She added that doctors are closely tracking tumour markers and other health parameters during the process.
The actor also spoke emotionally about the difficult time her family has been facing, as her husband Shoaib Ibrahim’s father was recently hospitalised after a brain haemorrhage. She said that managing her own treatment along with the family crisis has been challenging.
Praising Shoaib for his support, Dipika said he has been going through a difficult phase while standing firmly beside her. She requested fans to continue supporting him as he balances family responsibilities and her health journey.
Shoaib also shared details about Dipika’s upcoming treatment schedule, stating that her next immunotherapy session is planned for July 2, followed by medical evaluations to understand the impact of the first session.
Dipika had revealed her stage 2 liver cancer diagnosis in 2025, after which she underwent surgery to remove the tumour. Since then, she has been documenting her treatment experience and recovery journey, sharing both challenges and moments of hope with her followers.
Known for her role as Simar Bhardwaj in the television show Sasural Simar Ka, Dipika has also been the winner of Bigg Boss 12. She and Shoaib, who met on the sets of the show, got married in 2018 and welcomed their son Ruhaan in 2023.
