The revamped Guna Head Post Office now offers an improved environment for people accessing postal and financial services. The upgraded infrastructure is aimed at making services more convenient, accessible and customer-friendly for residents of Guna and nearby areas.

During the inauguration programme, Scindia praised the Department of Posts for its efforts to strengthen and modernise the postal network. He said improved facilities at post offices would help enhance the quality and efficiency of services available to citizens.

The renovated post office has introduced a token-based service system to help customers access different services in an organised manner and avoid crowded queues.

A digital display screen has also been installed to inform customers about service timelines. According to the Ministry, a duplicate passbook can now be issued within one day.

Scindia also highlighted the growing role of digital technology in transforming postal services. Through platforms such as the Dak Sewa and Dak Mitra apps, citizens can access several postal services from their homes, reducing the need for repeated visits to post offices.

The modernisation of the Guna Head Post Office is part of the Department of Posts’ wider efforts to upgrade postal infrastructure, expand digital services and improve the delivery of postal and financial facilities.
