GBN DM Medha Roopam Reviews Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana, Pushes for Full Target Achievement

Greater Noida: District Magistrate Medha Roopam on Tuesday chaired a review meeting of the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana (Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme) at the Collectorate auditorium, directing officials to intensify awareness campaigns, expedite verification of pending applications and ensure the district achieves its allotted target within the stipulated timeframe. DM directed all departments to intensify awareness campaigns and prepare an action plan to ensure maximum participation under the scheme, stressing that every eligible couple should benefit. Chief Development Officer Bhal Chandra Tripathi said Gautam Budh Nagar has been allotted a target of 40 couples and instructed Executive Officers, Block Development Officers and the Additional Chief Officer of the Zila Panchayat to conduct special drives to achieve the target within the stipulated timeframe.

Officials also apprised the meeting of the revised government guidelines, under which the financial assistance per couple has been fixed at ₹1 lakh. The gift component has been revised from ₹25,000 to ₹21,000, while the earlier ₹4,000 provision for silver items has been replaced with a direct transfer, increasing the amount credited to the bride’s bank account from ₹60,000 to ₹64,000. An additional ₹15,000 will continue to be provided for organising the marriage ceremony.

DM was informed that seven applications are currently pending on the scheme’s portal, including two from Dankaur Nagar Panchayat, four from Bisrakh block and one from Dadri Municipality. She directed officials to complete their verification on priority and ensure timely conduct of the marriages. The meeting was attended by CDO Bhal Chandra Tripathi, Jewar Tehsildar Prateek Chauhan, Dadri EO Shalini Gupta, and officials of the Social Welfare Department and other concerned departments.
