The incident reportedly took place on Padarayanapura Main Road near Goripalya, where a commuter captured photos of the dangerous act and shared them on X. The images show one minor driving the scooter while five others are precariously seated behind him, none wearing helmets.
The post quickly went viral, prompting users to tag the Bengaluru City Police and Bengaluru Traffic Police, urging authorities to take immediate action.
Social media users expressed concern over the serious safety risks and clear violation of traffic norms, with many calling for strict punishment against the parents or guardians. Several users pointed out that underage driving and overcrowding a two-wheeler can be life-threatening, especially on busy urban roads.
Former Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao also reacted to the incident, urging strict enforcement of laws and action under the Motor Vehicles Act and other legal provisions to send a strong message against such negligence.
