New Delhi : In a significant step towards strengthening India’s digital ecosystem, Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to collaborate in the domains of advanced technologies, digital transformation and capacity building.
The collaboration aims to promote joint project implementation, consultancy, and technical support, while also focusing on the development of solutions in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, 5G, and cloud computing. The partnership will further facilitate the creation of turnkey solutions across sectors, alongside enabling technology transfer and commercialization of innovative products.
A key focus of the MoU is capacity building and workforce development, with both organisations committing to upskilling initiatives and training programmes to enhance technical capabilities and prepare a future-ready workforce.
The agreement was formally signed by Capt. (IN) Saurav Chauhan (Retd), Director (O&M), BECIL, and Niranjan Vaishnav, Registrar, C-DAC, in the presence of senior officials.
Speaking on the occasion, CMD BECIL, Cmde D.K. Murali (Retd.), highlighted that the collaboration would significantly enhance BECIL’s capabilities in advanced technologies and digital transformation. He noted that by leveraging the complementary strengths of both organisations, the partnership is expected to deliver impactful solutions and contribute meaningfully to India’s digital growth.
The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision of Digital India and is expected to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, foster innovation, and strengthen the country’s technological infrastructure.
