Faridabad : Arya Yuva Samaj, in collaboration with Dayanand College, Hisar, took a transformative step toward building a drug-free society by organising a ‘Sau Kundiya Havan’ (100-Altar Havan Ceremony) at Tikona Park, Agrasen Colony, Hisar. Led by the dedicated students of Dayanand College, the event marked a significant milestone in the nationwide ‘No Nasha Nation’ campaign, aimed at eradicating substance abuse from the country.
This major social upliftment initiative is being conducted under the visionary leadership of Padma Shri Arya Rattan Dr. Punam Suri, President, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, and Yogi Suri, National President, Arya Yuva Samaj.
In his address, College Principal Dr. Vikramjeet Singh highlighted the historical roots of Arya Samaj, founded with the noble purpose of societal welfare. He affirmed that Arya Yuva Samaj remains firmly committed to eliminating the social evil of drug addiction by upholding the original ideals of reform and upliftment. Dr. Singh expressed confidence that the “No Nasha Nation” movement would inspire students to distance themselves from intoxicants and contribute toward building a healthier society.

Dr. Singh further elaborated that the ‘Sau Kundiya Havan’ will be completed in four phases across Haryana between December and March, involving hundreds of participants from over 200 DAV educational institutions. At each location, students will personally perform the havan, symbolising their pledge to work toward a drug-free India and spreading awareness through spiritual and cultural means.
The event also featured cultural presentations, awareness lectures, and a compelling nukkad natak (street play) performed by the students, which emerged as the highlight of the programme. These performances effectively conveyed the message that drug addiction not only destroys individuals but also weakens the foundation of society.
All participating students took a solemn pledge to lead a drug-free life, reinforcing their determination to combat addiction. Through the collective energy of the havan, the students symbolically purified the environment while spreading a powerful message of societal upliftment.
The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Programme Convenor Dr. Chhavi Mangla. Distinguished citizens of Hisar, along with the entire teaching and non-teaching staff of Dayanand College, attended the event and extended their wholehearted support to the “No Nasha Nation” campaign. Their collective presence amplified the movement’s impact, strengthening the mission to achieve a drug-free Haryana and, ultimately, a drug-free India.
