New Delhi : During the proceedings, Sharma placed several Unstarred Questions in the Rajya Sabha, seeking detailed information from the concerned Ministries on priority areas that impact national planning and the development trajectory of Haryana.
The questions submitted today cover critical operational and technical aspects across sectors:
Energy Storage and Grid Stability
Sharma has sought a detailed status report on the 10 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems being procured under the Viability Gap Funding mechanism. The questions request information on commissioning timelines, capacity utilisation planning, projected impact on grid reliability, and the cost-benefit metrics being used by the implementing agencies. Further clarity has been sought on how these BESS units will be integrated with variable renewable sources such as solar and wind to support round-the-clock power supply in Haryana.
Renewable Integration Mechanisms
A related set of questions calls for technical protocols, control-system architecture, and dispatch strategies that will guide the integration of new renewable capacity into the existing grid. The request also seeks Ministry-level guidelines on peak-load management, frequency balancing, and forecasting tools required for a renewable-heavy grid.
District- and State-Level Implementation Inputs
Sharma has asked the Ministry to specify district-wise implementation progress, the agencies engaged in deployment, and the monitoring frameworks being used to track performance and reliability of the new systems.
All these questions have been formally submitted as Unstarred Questions, with the objective of obtaining clear, factual and structured responses from the respective Ministries.
Kartikeya Sharma will continue to use parliamentary mechanisms to seek information on issues that shape policy execution and long-term planning.
