The Impressive TimesGreater Noida | October 23, 2025 – As the city gears up for the auspicious festival of Chhath Puja, the Greater Noida Authority has undertaken extensive preparations to ensure a smooth and safe celebration. Devotees will offer Arghya to the setting sun on October 27 and the rising sun on October 28, marking the culmination of this sacred festival dedicated to Lord Surya and Chhathi Maiya.
The Authority has readied artificial ponds across the city, ensuring they are cleaned, repaired, and filled with water in advance for devotees to perform rituals without inconvenience.
Key Chhath Ghats in Greater Noida — including IEC College (Knowledge Park I), Haibatpur Community Centre, Cherry County Society in Techzone-4, Sector-3, Sector P-3, Kulesra, and Sector J-2 — have been equipped with lighting, water, and cleanliness arrangements.
Officials said additional sites suggested by devotees will also receive logistical support and resources from the Authority. Special emphasis has been laid on safety, hygiene, and crowd management, with teams deployed to monitor all major locations.
The Greater Noida Authority stated that preparations are being completed promptly so that devotees can perform Chhath rituals with devotion, dignity, and ease, continuing the spirit of this deeply revered festival
