Rabat– Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh met with the Indian community in Rabat, Morocco, on September 21, 2025, engaging in a detailed discussion on India’s recent strategic actions. During the interaction, members of the diaspora praised the Armed Forces for their decisive response in Operation Sindoor. The Defence Minister reiterated that the military was fully prepared and empowered to act following the attack on innocent Indians in Pahalgam, emphasizing that India’s response was measured and non-escalatory.


He cited the Ramcharitmanas, stating, “Humne dharm dekh kar nahi, karm dekh kar maara hai,” to highlight India’s firm yet restrained approach.

In his address, Rajnath Singh highlighted India’s multidimensional progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past decade. Despite global challenges, India has grown into the fourth-largest economy, poised to enter the top three soon. He pointed to significant achievements in the digital and knowledge economy, the rise of startups from 18 unicorns to 118, and the remarkable expansion of the defence sector. The defence industry has achieved production worth ₹1.5 lakh crore and defence exports exceeding ₹23,000 crore to over 100 countries.

The Defence Minister lauded the dedication, honesty, and hard work of the Indian diaspora, noting that their achievements reflect the enduring strength of Indian character worldwide. He recalled Swami Vivekananda’s message at the Parliament of the World’s Religions, emphasizing that character defines a person. Members of the Indian community expressed pride in India’s growing global stature, anchored in economic growth and rising military capabilities.
