New Delhi, 22 August 2025: The 57th Youth Parliament Competition for the academic year 2024–25 concluded with an inspiring Prize Distribution Function held at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium, Parliament Library Building, New Delhi. The event celebrated the achievements of school students under the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, and NDMC.

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, presided over the ceremony and presented awards to the winning students and schools for their exceptional performance. During his interaction with the students, he encouraged the younger generation to embrace democratic values, uphold ethics, and contribute towards promoting harmony in the world’s largest democracy. He also led all attendees in taking a pledge to adopt a healthy lifestyle while protecting the environment.

Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of familiarizing students with parliamentary procedures and democratic traditions. Dr. Satya Prakash, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, in his welcome address, urged students to actively participate in the Youth Parliament Programme and integrate democratic principles into their daily lives.

The winners of this year’s competition, Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya No.1, C-Block, Yamuna Vihar, Delhi, showcased a repeat performance of their “Youth Parliament” session, delighting the audience with their skill and confidence.



The Youth Parliament Competition, now in its 59th year in Delhi, aims to instill self-discipline, respect for diverse opinions, confident expression of ideas, and leadership qualities among students. It also familiarizes participants with parliamentary practices, debate techniques, and effective public speaking skills.
