North Zone Girls’ Cricket Tournament Concludes at Asha Jyoti Vidyapeeth with Grand Prize Distribution Ceremony

36 Players from U-17 and U-19 Categories Honoured with Gold Medals and Selected for CBSE Nationals

Faridabad, August 4, 2025 – The Prize Distribution Ceremony of the North Zone Girls’ Cricket Tournament was held with great enthusiasm at Asha Jyoti Vidyapeeth School. The tournament witnessed participation from top teams across Chandigarh, Panchkula, Gurgaon, Panipat, Kaithal, Himachal, Punjab, and Haryana.

A total of 36 outstanding players were honoured with Gold Medals across two age categories—Under-19 and Under-17. These talented athletes have also earned selection for the prestigious National CBSE Tournament.

CBSE observers Amba Prasad and Rakesh Rana played a vital role in ensuring the tournament’s smooth conduct and fair play. Principal Smt. Samita Reza, in her address, lauded the players’ efforts and emphasized the importance of such platforms in promoting women’s cricket at the grassroots level.

Chairman Satyaveer Dagar also addressed the gathering, encouraging young cricketers to stay committed to their goals and continue striving for excellence.

Gold Medalists (Under-19):
Swarnim Gaud, Adya Gupta, Bhoomi Punia, Jasmine, Ananya Saxena, Kanika Chauhan, Saloni Sharma, Akanksha Gurung, Avni, Niti, Arti Rani, Divya Sharma, and Nikita.

Gold Medalists (Under-17):
Kaashi Raghv, Hargun Kaur, Bhavya Saini, Satyajna Sanchi, Harman Kaur, Jasleen Kaur, Maminder Kaur, Kavya Bisht, Inaya Khan, Manvi Tevatiya, Jasmine Bhullar, Dainik Manchanda, Dhruvika, Gunjeet Kaur, Bhoomi Kukreja, Harman, Ramanpreet, and Mishti.

The event concluded on a high note, marking a significant step towards the empowerment of young female athletes and the advancement of women’s cricket in India.
