Modi & Kejriwal Oppose Reservations, Alleges Rahul Gandhi in Fiery Attack

New Delhi, Jan 30,2025:  Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday dared Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal to publicly commit to conducting a caste census and scrapping the 50 percent cap on reservations.

Speaking at a rally in Bawana in support of Congress candidates, Gandhi accused both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kejriwal of being opposed to reservations.

He challenged Kejriwal to declare that he would eliminate the 50 percent ceiling on reservations, asserting that the AAP leader would never do so because he is against reservations, Dalits, and minorities.

Drawing parallels between Modi and Kejriwal, Gandhi alleged that both leaders deceive the public. He reminded the audience of Kejriwal’s earlier pledge to usher in clean politics, only to be embroiled in what he called the biggest corruption scandal in Delhi.

Gandhi also took a dig at Kejriwal’s past promise to bathe in and drink Yamuna water, challenging him to do so now, knowing that the river remains highly polluted.

The Congress leader further criticized Kejriwal for failing to stand with minorities, claiming that during communal violence in Delhi, the AAP leader was nowhere to be seen. He emphasized that it was Congress leaders, including himself, who supported the victims.

“Wherever Modi and his allies sow hatred and violence, you will always find Rahul Gandhi standing against them,” he assured the crowd.

Reaffirming his vision of India as a nation of love and unity, Gandhi accused Modi and the RSS of fueling divisions by pitting religions, castes, and languages against each other.

Highlighting key issues, he said the Modi-Kejriwal governments have failed to create employment opportunities in Delhi. He pointed out that despite parents investing heavily in their children’s education, graduates are left with mere degrees instead of jobs.

Unlike the BJP and AAP, Gandhi claimed, the Congress does not make empty promises. He cited Karnataka and Telangana as examples, where Congress fulfilled its commitments after coming to power.
