Faridabad Police strives for a Cyber safe, Crime-free and Drug-free society: DCP NIT Kuldeep Singh

Faridabad , 7 September , 2024 :Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Om Prakash Narwal, DCP NIT Kuldeep Singh organized an awareness program for the public at the Kotwali Police Station area. The purpose was to inform citizens about road safety, cyber security, and the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Focus on Road Safety, Cyber Security, and a Drug-Free Society

In his address, DCP Kuldeep Singh informed the citizens about road safety, cyber security, and the negative impacts of drugs. He called on all citizens to fulfill their responsibilities and work together to create a crime-free and drug-free society. He emphasized the need for the community to act as the “eyes and ears” of the police, promptly reporting any criminal activity to help build a safer society.

Assurance of Solutions for Local Problems

During the program, local issues were heard, and the police administration assured the public of quick solutions. The DCP urged the citizens to report crimes immediately and cooperate with the police to help create a safer environment.

Special Awareness on Cyber Security

The program highlighted the importance of staying alert to cyber crimes. DCP Singh shared essential tips on how citizens can protect themselves from falling victim to cyber fraud. Information was provided on the cyber helpline number 1930 and the Cybercrime Reporting Portal (http://www.cybercrime.gov.in).

Emphasis on Digital Safety for Youth

Through videos, various methods of cyber crimes were demonstrated to help the public understand and avoid these dangers. The police encouraged young people to lead safe digital lives and raised awareness about reporting lost or stolen mobile phones through the website https://www.ceir.gov.in/Home/index.jsp.
