Notorious Drug Peddler Arrested in Nand Nagri; 41.24 gms Smack and Cash Recovered
Accused Harish alias Golu, a repeat offender with past NDPS and Arms Act cases, caught by swift police action
The Impressive TimesDelhi, August 18, 2025: In a major crackdown against narcotics, the Nand Nagri Police arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 41.24 grams of smack along with ₹4,220 in cash.
Based on a tip-off received in the afternoon, a swift team led by SHO/PS Nand Nagri, comprising PSI Vaishali, HCs Deepak and Rohit, and Cts. Paramjeet and Rohan, under the supervision of ACP/Nand Nagri, reached the spot near E-Block, Nand Nagri. The suspect, identified as Harish @ Golu (30), attempted to flee into a house but was apprehended.
Upon search conducted under NDPS Act guidelines, the police seized narcotics and cash from his possession. A case under Section 21 NDPS Act was registered at PS Nand Nagri, and investigation began immediately.
Further interrogation revealed that Harish @ Golu, a resident of Jhuggi Sunder Nagri, had a criminal history and was previously involved in four cases under the NDPS Act, Delhi Excise Act, and Arms Act. He also disclosed details about his supply chain, which are now under verification.
The arrest highlights the continuous efforts of Delhi Police to curb the menace of drug trafficking in the city.
