The Impressive TimesNew Delhi, 20 April, 2024- Moradabad Division of Northern Railway has made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of the rail passengers during Summer Rush – 2024.
Around 51 summer special trains are running through the Division for Eastern UP, Bihar and Central India. Officers and Inspectors are deployed at all major stations over the division to monitor the passenger rush at stations and overcrowding on-board trains. Coordination with Mechanical and RPF staff for water availability and crowd management in trains is also being done on an hourly basis. Rail Madad app and requirements is being monitored through Commercial Control, as Nodal control.
Passengers rush at major stations ie; Dehradun, Haridwar, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Roza and Hapur are being monitored on hourly basis. Crowd Observation stations of Moradabad are being closely monitored.
In addition, queue length is also being monitored at PRS and UTS during Tatkal and heavy rush hours.Additional tickets counters are being operated at Dehradun, Haridwar, Moradabad and Bareilly during rush hours. Fully functioning ATVMs at all stations are being ensured. Promotion of UTS on mobile apps through Mobile ticketing is being done to reduce queue length through continuous drives and outreach.
Sufficient availability of Rail Neer and Janta Khana at all catering and non-catering units is available and regularly ensured. Digital payment is available at all units for ease of transactions.
