Uttar Pradesh leads the nation in compressed biogas production, Nitin Gadkari commends Yogi government’s efforts

New Delhi / Lucknow, September 2– On Monday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari commended the Yogi Adityanath-led government for Uttar Pradesh’s remarkable achievement in becoming the leading state in the production of compressed biogas (CBG). This significant milestone highlights Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to renewable energy and positions it as a pioneer in the bioenergy sector. Gadkari’s praise came during his visit to the India Bio Energy and Tech Expo-2024, held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Center in Dwarka, Delhi. As part of the expo, Gadkari took the opportunity to visit the stall of the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA). Gadkari’s interest in Uttar Pradesh’s progress was evident, particularly when he learned that the state currently ranks first in India for compressed biogas production. During his visit to the UPNEDA stall, Gadkari praised the advancements in compressed biogas production and bio-energy technologies showcased there. In addition to Gadkari’s remarks, Principal Secretary Narendra Bhushan provided an overview of the Uttar Pradesh Bio-Energy Policy-2022 to bio-energy developers from India and across the globe.
