Mahendergarh , 12 August , 2024 – The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has been portrayed as a Research Leader along with various other Indian Universities including Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc.), by the Nature Index released by the most prestigious Journal, i.e., ‘Nature’. The University stood tall at 152nd rank with annual growth of about 131% in terms of high-quality research output. The Research Leadership ranking is determined by Nature Journal by selecting publications from 145 Research Journals of international repute from the domains of natural sciences and health sciences. The Journals are selected on reputation by an independent panel of leading scientists in their fields. The Indian Institute of Sciences stood 1st in terms of share, though with a fall in the contribution in the year 2023. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) ranked 62nd in this index.
Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, CUH, expressed his satisfaction over the progress made by the University during the calendar 2023. He lauded the commitment of the University fraternity in their persistent endeavours to elevate the status of CUH in all domains and dedicated this achievement to the researchers and the faculty of the University.
CUH is consistently trying to improve its research bouquet under the mentorship of the Vice-Chancellor in order to become a research leader not only in the State but also at the National level. The University wish to make its research contribute to the national development by supporting its neighbouring regions to pave the way for the ascent at the international level, said Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Dean, Research, CUH.
