Grand Launch of “Nirogata Ke Sutra” (Secrets of Well-Being) Book Highlights the Timeless Wisdom of Indian Tradition for a Healthy and Balanced Life

Nirogata Ke Sutra Book Launch in Delhi highlighted health, spirituality and Indian wisdom through Gurbani and the Bhagavad Gita.

New Delhi, June 7– The book “Nirogata Ke Sutra – In the Light of Gurbani and the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita” (Secrets of Well-Being) was formally launched at a grand ceremony held on June 5, 2026, at the Constitution Club, New Delhi. The event brought together distinguished personalities from the fields of spirituality, social service, education, and public life.

The book was unveiled in the gracious presence of Dr. Indresh Kumar, Senior Pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Member of its National Executive; Alok Kumar, Founder of Dadhichi Deh Dan Samiti and Senior Advocate; Baba Bhupinder Singh Patiala, renowned spiritual leader; and several other distinguished guests.

Remembering the life, personality, and vision of the book’s author, Dr. Sham Lal Kathpalia, a dedicated RSS volunteer, the speakers described him as a living example of Indian culture, service, health awareness, spirituality, and human values. Dr. Kathpalia also briefly shared the journey of his life and spoke about the inspirations behind writing the book.


In his keynote address, Dr. Indresh Kumar said, “Not harming anyone is the greatest form of well-being.” He explained that feelings such as jealousy, anger, and negativity ultimately harm both the mind and the body. He encouraged people to live life with a sense of purpose and mission, emphasizing that healthy thoughts are essential for building a healthy society. He also shared several personal memories of his association with Dr. Kathpalia and described the book as highly relevant in today’s world.

Alok Kumar stated that the true meaning of the word “Swa” (Self) is the Divine. He said that the ultimate goal of human life is to recognize the divinity within oneself. According to him, true health and well-being can be achieved only when a person becomes connected with this inner self. He described the book as an important contribution to Indian philosophy and health consciousness.

Baba Bhupinder Singh Patiala fondly recalled his close association with Dr. Kathpalia and said that he possesses a rich treasure of spiritual and intellectual wisdom that deserves to reach people across the world. He noted that one of the book’s greatest strengths is its presentation of practical principles for healthy living based on the teachings of Gurbani and the Bhagavad Gita. He added that true well-being can only be attained through self-reflection and inner awareness.

The presence of Harsh Malhotra, Union Minister of State and President of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Delhi Unit, added further significance to the event. Conveying his best wishes, he appreciated Dr. Kathpalia’s efforts in bringing this valuable work to society.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Geeta Kathpalia Ahuja, daughter of Dr. Sham Lal Kathpalia, said that in today’s fast-paced and stressful world, the book offers meaningful guidance rooted in Indian culture and values. She expressed confidence that its teachings would positively influence people’s lifestyles and promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Guests also acknowledged and appreciated her dedication, coordination, and tireless efforts in making the event a success.

The programme was skillfully moderated by Mr. Mangesh Bapat, former media professional and social worker. His engaging and effective style helped connect the various segments of the event and contributed greatly to its smooth and inspiring conduct.

Representatives and office-bearers from Dadhichi Deh Dan Samiti, Vidya Bharati, Arogya Bharati, and GIEO Gita were present at the event. Among the distinguished attendees were educationist and social worker Dr. Ved Prakash Tandon, Founder of HuHaHo (Human Happiness Hope) Mr. Harsh Vashishtha, Mrs. Anju Kalra, Mrs. Shweta Popli, and family members of Dr. Kathpalia.

A special highlight of the program was the recitation of the 15th Chapter (Purushottama Yoga) of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit by the younger members of the family, which added a spiritual and inspiring touch to the occasion.
